Walk­ing in Some­one Else’s Shoes 

Step into his­to­ry and take “a walk into the past” with the Urban Muse­um Col­lab­o­ra­tive. See how arti­facts, doc­u­ments, and “char­ac­ter cards” bring into focus the com­pelling nar­ra­tives of indi­vid­u­als asso­ci­at­ed with two his­toric house museums–the Camp­bell House and the Field House. The issue of free­dom is cen­tral to the sto­ry of two women and two men who lived in the tumul­tuous times sur­round­ing the Civ­il War. Their strug­gles and issues of com­pas­sion, advo­ca­cy, resilience, and jus­tice con­nect to our com­mu­ni­ties today.
