Experience an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas at four of St. Louis’ most historic places on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Two ticket options are available: The Bus Tour ticket, which includes tours of all four historic sites and parking with guided bus transportation sponsored by Destination St. Louis, is $30 pre-order and $40 day of event. The Self-Guided ticket, which includes tours of all four historic sites with limited parking, is $20 pre-order and $30 day of event.
The Field House Museum — 634 South Broadway
Discover the home of Roswell Field, attorney for Dred Scott, and his son, Eugene Field, the Children’s Poet, during this magical time of year. Decorated in a stunning blend of old and new with historic feather trees and children’s toys displayed throughout the historic house.
The Campbell House Museum — 1508 Locust Street
The home of entrepreneur Robert Campbell reflects the high-Victorian opulence of the 1880s. See the elaborate parlor Christmas tree and creche, as well as the dining room table set for the season.
The Chatillon-DeMenil House — 3352 DeMenil Place
This splendid Greek Revival mansion is beautifully decorated for a “Joyeux Noel,” reflecting both its French Creole roots and American holiday traditions.
The Old Courthouse — 11 North Fourth Street
This Greek Revival building features restored courtrooms and a Dred Scott exhibit along with the Victorian era decorated rotunda filled with holiday music and dancing for this evening’s tour.
There will be tours and light holiday refreshments at each of the four locations.
